Description
The Motions worden in 1964 opgericht te Den Haag, met zanger Rudy Bennett (ware naam Ruud van de Berg), Robbie van Leeuwen (gitaar), Sieb Warner (drums) en Henk Smitskamp (basgitaar). De groep is nog hetzelfde jaar een van de voorprogramma-acts bij het roemruchte optreden van de Rolling Stones in het Scheveningse Kurhaus. Een jaar, een hit en een debuutplaat later strekt de bekendheid van de groep zich al uit tot de Verenigde Staten en Engeland. De harde, rauwe gitaarsound en frisse, opwindende composities van The Motions slaan goed aan.
In 1968 wordt de LP "LIVE" uitgebracht.
